spark plug problems

hi has any body had a spark plug come out ? traveling from great Yarmouth back to Yorkshire yesterday van was running fine been traveling for about 3 hrs when it started to misfire and make a bloody awwfull noise , stopped found that the spark plug had worked loose ( or so I thought) waited for it to cool down a bit. screwed it back in with no problems set off again 1/4 mile up the a1 it did it again. ended up calling for a recovery truck at this point could I have a cracked head ?

I had no. 1 come out and your right the noise is a little worrying for sure! It's a pita to get at if your running IDF carbs that's why mine worked loose. Not sure why yours would come out again tho unless it's stripped the thread....

Probably stripped the thread TBH bud.
You can get thread insert kits to repair it without taking the engine out if you're careful, but for ease of access I'd take the engine out.

Strange that its number one that had come out too but running a stock carb! Still a tight squeeze tho, screwed it back in again last night and it didn't feel to screw in far enough so hopefully it is a stripped thread thank you for the advice David
