Hi Early Bay...I'm a lurker from the SSVC forum....usually watch the forum to see the progress of buses with Red 9 Wishbone setup as we are a bit slow on the uptake with splits (although a few more seem to be getting them)...anyway I digress...

I would like to know the difference between split accelerator pedals and early bay one's...I know a slight adjustment is needed to make a split one fit but what is the adjustment??

The reason being is the following...

My good friend James Morris is an architectural metalworker and runs sculpsteel

He has produced some cool stuff for my house and is also into VW's and has done some of the metalwork for my various van projects.

Anyway whilst he was helping me with the trailer I asked him if he could make me a custom accelerator pedal...anyway we bought a new pedal from C & C and he got a blank laser cut.

and He can put any design on top of it...he has been working on a rocket and surfboard (although I think the surfboard top needs a bit of work as it shows the hinge pin)..also anything can be stamped into the 6mm stainless steel top (including the VW symbol).

Do you think there would be any interest in these and if so what sort of designs would people like to see....I think James was thinking in terms of £50 for a standard design pedal and more for a one off custom...do you think this is priced right... :?: He want's to know if it's worth his while getting a bulk order of chassis laser cut

I will make nothing out of this as I'm doing it as a favour to James as he always gives me mates rates so I owe him a few (and he is always up to help with my next idea for my van)

I've posted this on the SSVC website and would like to know if any early bayers are interested and what modifications james would have to make to the accelerator chassis to make it fit.
