Hi folks,

About to pull our engine for the first time and want to sort a few leaks. These spring-loaded push rod tubes seem to get good reviews everywhere, so I'm happy to splash a bit of cash on a new set.

Looking at the various vendors, the billet ones come in a choice of Fast Fab (£98), Jaycee (£130) or CSP (£160). As far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between these three, but has anyone used them or have recommendations on whether one is better than the other, as the price range is a fair difference!

If you're pulling the engine anyway why go for Spring loaded? I thought the benefit of those was that they could be fitted in situ.

Saying that, the only ones I've had experience of were Jaycee and they were spot on.

Get the Fast fabs from RJ Volksperformance, beautifully made and don’t leak. Had them on my stroker for 4 years and many 1000’s of miles without issue.

I'm planning on removing the standard ones and re-fitting some spring-loaded ones without touching the heads. Would rather not unbolt anything that isn't broken!

Ta for the prices - worthwhile looking at the non-major supplies judging by those. I'm guessing the ones I've quoted are all similar in design, maybe even copies of each other? By that reckoning the Fastfab ones should be fine.
