I will have a shiny Jalousie :lol:

I had the same plan...but my 'tool' is a cheapo from Halfords (was in the sale :msn4: )
Just be warned...you get a liberal spray of polishing compound everywhere you didn't want it! I tried to clean up the car's headlight and did it with the bonnet open....everything in the engine bay looks like it's now been over sprayed in white :evil:
Enjoy...and post the results to motivate me :D

I feel a shine off coming on!

That looks a neat bit of kit, although given the area to polish, you'd benefit from adding to that the kit I bought on Amazon with the large wheels and the two polishing compounds..

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Max-Aluminium-Brass-Metal-Polishing/dp/B005DEQPB6/ref=sr_1_55?ie=UTF8&qid=1360760266&sr=8-55" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A lesson I learnt is to spend the time with the sisal wheel and the brown compound as everything else just buffs up the finish to a shine.. it's the first stage that lays the foundation for the final result.. I'd like to go back and do mine again one day having learned that..

Have fun dude..

oh, and wear a paper face mask and safety spec.. I didn't wear the paper mask the first time and came out of the garage looking like a coal miner! not meant to be too good to breath in this stuff!

Thanks for the heads-up fellas, im now thinking maybe ill just clean all the crud off and not worry about polishing haha!!

............ill see how I get on.................. :lol:

So had a day on the bus and it was master cylinder day :mrgreen:

Nice easy job that one.........................................as for polishing the window thats another story :lol: But I have a plan....................more next week.

Are the window frames not anodised ? If they are you will need to get under the surface and when you have they will need laquer to stop them corroding!

pull out from the bottom, then slide the whole window down slighty (to clear the corners of the frame inside that holds the flyscreen) and pull out the whole window... simples! :D
