I'll be on the market for some of these in the New Year 8) - The thing is the Chroming is only as good as the preparation of the component and thickness. Even if the base metal is St.St. doesn't guarantee longevity of the chrome. There are some chronic versions as the impurities show up as rust (usually but not always China/India origin). Depends on the company quality assurance & control that apply the chrome using correct process with nickel/copper coating before application. Different base metals require different "prime" coats to get the best adhesion of the chrome.

These aren't chromed, they are highly polished stainless steel.. At least that's what it says in the advert
