starter motor nut

Could someone confirm (or not) if the nut circled below is the one that is attached to the starter motor stud please? I used my camera to take a picture in front of the fan and behind the fuel tank as I can't see it but can feel it.



My van is a 1972 1600 westfalia crossover.
 
Thanks for the replies. I haven't loosened it yet, doesn't seem to be much thread there. Do you know if there are different types of bolts?
 


I have taken the starter motor out. The nut in the engine bay wasn't particually tight. Anyway the motor states it is a Bosch 624. I can't seem to find a reference to this on the popular camper spares websites. My van is a 72 model but the starter looks like a 75 onwards version (from website photos). Does anyone happen to know what starter I have? Also the websites refer to replacing the bush in the gear box, how difficult is this to remove?
