Did a pub stop over near Great Yarmouth last week. On the way back the wind was quite high and the bus was all over the road. Had the tracking done today and found out it was 2 x the limit toe in. Drove the bus around today and already seems better, have to wait for another windy day to see if any better.

Off to Glampfest in Yorkshire on Friday so hopefully will get a better idea of how the steering is...

When I got my bus it had normal car tyres on 15" Empi copies with about 32psi in and when I first drove it in a crosswind I thought I was going to start bouncing off other cars. It was very scary. First fix was to put max pressure in all tyres, this made a big difference but still not great. I then got some stock steel wheels with C14 van tyres on, fronts wouldn't fit because of the narrow beam, so I put heavy duty 4x4 tyres on, now it drives well and is hardly affected by crosswind. The rear van tyres are at about 50psi and the fronts 40+. It's all to do with the load rating. Having said that my bus isn't that heavy 1200kg ish.

Hi. Yes. I am also looking for a 4 x 4 tyre for my R15 Empi's on the front and rear to improve the handling. Problem is my 1971 T2a is lowered so clearance may be an issue. Interested in what 4 x 4 tyre make/profile/size you have for your R15s? Are you able to share this on here?? May thanks. Scull
