Just started to get a problem with the ignition key
Sometimes it unlocks the steering and goes to start straight away, some times it's taken ages to get beyond the steering lock position
I assume the lock is buggered, so what do I need to buy ?
Is it just a barrel, or more than that, the suppliers websites are a bit confusing
When fitting , does the steering wheel need to come off ?

She is a sept 70 bus , if anyone knows the part number

Thanks all

Either your key or the lock barrel is worn. If you have a spare key try if this works better.
If it is the barrel you can remove it without taking off the steering wheel, but it is a pain in the ass to remove as you need to come up with a bent wire and you need to find a hidden hole to unlock it with the wire. I had to do it the hard way by taking it all out and grinding and drilling out the barrel.

Once it's out you can simply slide in the new barrel and it will pop in place.
