think my motor is still running a bit lean,

does the idle mixture screw on a pict 34 only adjust the mixture at idle? - like it says? :roll:

If i want to make it run a bit richer at all rpm do i have to change the jetting? - I'm not sure whether the PO may have messed with things (and i've just rebuilt the carb)

Hi mate, you wanna wind the mixture screw in then out 2.5 turns then adjust the idle screw to get the idle just right.

yeah, that is how i set it up after rebuilding the carb, it just seems to be still a bit on the lean side.

just wondering if i can add fuel throughout the rpm range/all throttle openings

what 34pict are you running? If its the 34pict/3 then it should have a power jet behind a brass screw on the left side (i think) this could be to small.

Have a good read here mate http://www.vw-resource.com/34pict3.html#carb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
