On my way to work tonight I changed down to third gear felt a bit of a clunk and that was it 3rd gear all the way to work .Im now unable to get it out of 3rd or into any other gear.
I've taken my gear lever out and the cup that the gear stick sits in is just sliding up and down on the shaft.
An I right in thinking its possibly the little pinch bolt on the gear shift rod the square nut

I'll have to get a lift home get some kip then jack her up and squeeze under her to see what's what

And it's bloody freezing

We were both wrong it was the rear coupling the bolt had come out I've just put a temp one in to get me home

Tomorrow- stripping rear end and installing new spring plate bushes and new horseshoe plates
Let's sort this negative camber once and for all

Dudes
What size bolt do I need for the rear gear rod coupling is it just an m8 or longer

Thanks dudes

They tend to be a square bolt not a proper hex head. You may have to get in there with just a spanner.
