expensive but a good idea. they sell converted radios or can convert one you send them:

http://www.tadpoleradios.co.uk/Default.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

anyone used?

I e-mailed them about a month ago, they said they would be able to convert my Wolfsburg 4 radio no problem.

they can also convert 4 button vw radios, but you have to fade/balance on the sony head rather than the vw unit

would have gone for it if i had the cash

im sure i read before about the 5 pin socket on the back like old steroes had, you can but a cable that plugs in and makes it mp3 compatible

like this one

http://www.audiospares.com/product.php?productid=1570" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

others are available its the 1st one i found on google

Looks like I saved myself a heap of Dosh by getting an old Blaupunkt Turin 3 band radio and running a MP3 via 5way Din connector at the back of the Radio, most Blaupunkts have this facility & it sounds real good I even managed to get a 6x9 speaker under the dash which gives loads of bass I know it's mono but you don't notice when your going along honest.
Just trying to save you some money Bud anyway how long have CD's got mind you I'm still in to vinyl & 2 stage Valve Amplifiers so I can't say too much. :lol:
