Hey all anybody know how to adjust the tailgate hinges? I got a massive gap and it's letting in water. Yes that is closed

Hi Toby,

There are 2 bolts on either side that hold the hinge to the boot door...
If you slacken them off there is quite alot of adjustment...
Be warned though, it's a complete pain in the arse to get it right as the weight of the door moves it everytime you slacken the bolts, so best to mark the door to hinge first as a point of reference!

Good luck
Al

Check your tailgate isn't twisted. Some US scapyards take off the tailgates by cutting through one hinge, letting the tailgate drop on the other, then they just break the remaining hinge by yanking (sorry!) the gate. Out of 10 gates I saw recently 7 were twisted and had the remains of one hinge still on them

They can be untwisted by some cunning applied brute force ;)
