What' s the best way to get these two bits looking a bit smarter.

ie the bit round the ignition is all worn away, and the rusty bits on the dashboard where it meets the windscreen.
 
wet n dry....mask it up...primer...satin black rattle cans...new decal...job done..simpelz

I can see why you might want to renew the paintwork on your dash.

However, there is something about the rubbing away of the paint where the ignition key is located that reflects the history of your bus. It's the only place where everybody who has ever driven it has rubbed up against it, and for that reason I have not repainted mine. :)

Its a bit of internal patina I suppose. I often think about about those folks, through the years, having the same sense of apprehension as I get whenever I turn the key. Ie, will the bugger fire up or not. :lol:
