The first drive home

I drove mine home in the pouring rain,
Then went out again for a drive and broke the throttle cable :shock:
so i wound up the tick over went back home in second gear,
which was just aswell because being a LHD i kept trying to find the other three gears next to the door grab handle :lol:

Just to let you know made it home and like you all said grinning from ear to ear!
The only two downsides were true British, the weather and the traffic. Met a couple of split ties on the way down, one chap admitted to wanting a bay but his wife loves with split screen too much.
The drive back was great, she sat fine on the motorway. Got quite a few waves and smiles, plus a huge wave from a ghia. That said will never take a sixth gear for granted, although even fifth is highly underrated. Now if I can just get used to sitting in the gutter.
