So there i was driving along the A361 heading towards Barnstaple, when 3 T5's fly past me, then no less that 10 minutes later they had been pulled over by the rozzers and i just sailed past at a steady 55mph!
just made me chuckle about the old slow and steady wins the race!
although one guy did wave the others gave me that look of 'why you going so slow mate, watch us fly'.........

Reminds me of an occasion way back, when my daily hack was my dad's bay.
Every morning I would be trundling along the M27, with building materials and workmen in the back.
I would often see a Fiat X19 sports car (remember them?) shoot past me, with a couple of lads in it, who would have been of a similar age to me. They would often make rude gestures as they left me in their dust (I guess they thought it was was most uncool for people of our age to be seen driving old veedub buses back then. )
Anyway, this particular morning they shot past me as usual. A couple of minutes later, however, I noticed they were pulled onto the hard shoulder. The car's detachable roof panel had detached itself, and had ended up in the carriageway right in my path. They didn't look very amused as they watched me drive over it, but I did give them a friendly wave as I passed!

Funnily enough I never saw them again after that! ;)

 My other ride, if I wasn't in my dad's bus was a new 1600 diesel Escort van, so I guess performance wise it was on a par with your bug! I loved that little van, too! :D
