It seems as soon as I sort one problem another seems to either rear its ugly head or suddenly feel worst then it did before

After finally fixing the dodgy brakes it now appears the steering feels very vague

Feels like a lot of play (this maybe normal?) and seems to turn more in one direction then it does the other and under steer a lot.. this maybe a characteristic of these old vans thou? The steering wheel is certainly not straight and needs adjusting.

When I was under the van I noticed the left hand steering arm visibly looked bent slightly so I'll probably change both of these as Machine 7 have a bundle deal for these.

Is it then just a case of taking it to any tracking company to adjust?

The shocks bounce back well and show no sign of leaking, I've replaced the grease in the front beam, is there anything else you guys can suggest I should look at? I think I heard you can adjust the play on the steering box?? need to check my Bentley on this

Is your steering box in the middle position when you drive in a straight line, the middle position is a thight spot in you steering box and very important for safe and thight steering.
There is a v notch on the box and this should mate with the notch on the dust cap when driving in a straight line.

Have you checked your drag link? My bus was rather vague, almost boat like, turned out to be the back balljoint on the draglink. Changed the draglink, all good.
