For anyone who hasn't taken their van on many holidays, go for it. :D

My van behaved almost faultlessly the entire trip (one loose wheel about 1200miles in was the only hiccough!). And returned an average of 31.3MPG over pretty tough terrain. :)

Awesome pics but ant a clue where you went. How many times did the fiat break down lol
Regards phil

As Phil says looks like an awesome trip but where ? Nice to see them being used as they were ment to be ?

The wife, 2 kids and I are planing a week also in France inc Disney land for my daughters birthday in August, hopefully in are 69 westy if I pull my finger out if not in my 61 split which has done many a euro trip but is a bit small now

dunno about it breaking down but I guess the front bumper is blowing around some motorway in Southern Europe...

Well it's bamboozled me, some pics look like the South Tyrol in Italy, the beach looks like Le Grande Mott in the South of France, some of the road and lake photos look like Austria or Serbia?

Thanks folks :D

The Fiat was actually rather well behaved... it was loaded quite heavily (2 people, all their camping gear etc) and got a little warm on longer inclines. The only other trouble was with tyre wear due to excessive camber due to the heavy loading... which we sorted out near Barcelona 8)

The Midget was the one which gave us the troubles - overheating early on, and then the (brand new) condensor failed near Barcelona causing us an hour of head scratching. Luckily we had serviced it a week before we left, and had the old condensor in the boot.

Ironically, we had to remove the midget front bumper on day 1, as it was overheating significantly as soon as we hit any traffic. Without the bumper it got much more airflow to the rad! Mind you, it was 38 degrees when we got there...

So... where did we go?
Spain!

This is the approximate route we took...

The route was great as it allowed us to explore very different areas of Spain - Basque country, Catalonia, etc. We got the ferry to Bilbao which saved us a load of miles and time.

Would recommend it to anyone :D
