Hey all,
Seriously think of getting a small caravan (Puck style/size) or a trailer tent to tow behind the bus.
Got a 71 bay, 1600 twin port, with twin Weber 34 ict's,
What kind of weight will she pull with out struggling ? :?
Regards
Daren

Its not just what the engine can manage its more to do with the nose/tail weight.
My bus is a 1600SP in standard form and tows a trailer loaded with camping kit and 3 bikes on top no worries. Also had a puck on the back no problems. Big hills will always be a problem but apart from that you will never know its there.
Lots of classic caravans come in nice and light and as long as you dont over fill them with gear you will be ok.
Remember you will be working your brakes harder too. Trailer/caravan tyre pressures are also important as low pressures will make towing harder.

Hi

My stock 1600SP towed my Puck with full camping gear no probs and 3 kids, obviously at the hills the speed dies off, but once I fitted ICTs it was a breeze, flew home from Cornwall last summer 8)
