Whilst all you lucky bus owners were on the south coast me and the missus were celebrating my boys birthday with a weekend at Drayton Manor, thats by the by, but on the saturday evening after a few beers the urge to relieve myself was great.....

If you were at Drayton Manor near Tamworth you were about 500 yards away from lots of EB's, all of them tucked safely away in my unit

Like the canvas on the Dormy with its hundreds of different colours 8)

I keep threatening to take my lad to Drayton Manor, how did you rate it for a day out? My son at almost 11 is a bit older than yours I think and now has just experienced the 'big boys rides' at Alton Towers! Have some BOGOF vouchers to be used by month end so planning to go next Saturday. Looks like Drayton Manor will have to wait until next year. The plan has been to camp over, visit the theme park one day, zoo the next. Thought that would be a nice little weekend away without (hopefully) breaking the bank!

Hmmmm Drayton Manor dont think I'd do it again, Antony enjoyed it what with Thomas Land and a few of the older rides, Excaliber and Pirate land ....

Theres only really a couple of "big rides" that said end of season there was hardly anyone there so you could ride them as often as took your fancy.....

They dont do owt for me to be honest, though me and Antony did have a laugh on "troublesome trucks"

Harolds Heli tours actually made me feel quite sick

oooof .. that harold helicopter ride .. its like constantly going round a roundabout at 30mph in a stock height bus! .. not nice!

I thought DM was ok for a day out .. rides not as good as some of the others but the payoff is you don't need to queue for hours for each ride .. even the zoo's ok .. but the whole thing is only a 1 day event ..

Quite a good analogy and theres me thinking it was cos I was sat in the back while Antony flew it.....

Helen and friends did an adults only day at Alton Towers whilst the kids were at school the other week dirt cheap no queues.....
