Tyre size

Sorry if this has been done a thousand times but had a search and couldn’t find my answer.
I’m taking my alloys off my bay and going back to standard wheels but my speedo has been recalibrated for the alloys, I have found a tyre with the same size but it’s a 175 tyre, will this fit on my original steel wheel as the standard is a 185

175 tyres will fit rims between 5” and 6.5”
