HELP!! I have a USA Texas import which I picked up on saturday. It has red lenses on the indicators at the back (small lights) I'm getting her done for mot and was hoping for some info over the best way in converting them. Do I need new rear lights with seperate indicators (orange and red lenses)or can i use the original full red lenses? Same with the front ones, do the headlights have to have sidelight bulbs in or are the ones in the indicators ok??
Hope this make sense!!
Thanks
Darren

You can use the revering lights as indicators or fit new bulb holders and lenses for the back. I have used the original sidelights in the indicator in front but modified so the shine white.

That sounds like a good idea!! so what about a reversing light?

As far as im aware you dont need a reversing light for an MOT.
They have never said anything to me for the past 3 years mot's.
As for the sidelights, i bought mk1 golf/mini H4 lights from my local motor factors for £30 a pair as they are alot brighter than the sealed beam and have sidelights in.
And are a straight swap (just need to take wire from original side light and put in a new earth).
I used my reversing lights as indicators as i wanted to keep the all red rear lights.
