had a nice chat with faux about vanfest
sounds like a nice show, esp if i combine it with some extra camping nearby, but it a long way from essex

so, whos been before, and whats the crack, what good and bad :?:

im tipping towards going (long as bus is ready)

I have been about a dozen times but only camped last year for the first time. it was a good weekend, though the bars are expensive. entertainment is ok and generally a friendly atmosphere.

My first time last year dude , Cool s fook and well worth 5 or so hours in the van

Well it is THE original vw van show. Apparantly it's the biggest of it's kind in the world? 8) I have been going for the past 10/11 years and have watched it grow larger each year. Some think it is too expensive now at £35? each adult for the weekend. But I love it and can't imagine not going, so see you there!

I'm with Daz on this one. Great show, good atmosphere and we'll all be there.

I'm sure we will have a line up to beat all line ups....and YOU need to be part of it!

think I will def be there now, with or without the missus and baby

gonna book some time of work so i can cruise down at my leisure

I took friday off last year to enable a chilled trip up there , WICKED weekend 8)

Line up should be awesome

Its a great show but like any show it is what you make it. This one is bigger in all respects so all the things bad about some small shows are the same but on a bigger scale.
I personally love it for a few reasons, and meeting up with so manyfriends from around the country is most probley the main one. People come out for this show who just dont bother with some others.
Lots of entertainment included in the price but i dont usually bother as i like the vibe in the camp site getting drunk and burning food.....................
If you only go once, youve got to go to see if its your thing. See you there for a beer or two. 8)

slammedresto, me and the other half are going

Gary,

Vanfest for me is probably the most family organised of the year. Relaxed and chilled with open spaces around the main hall to stretch little legs and kids entertainment in the hall during the day come rain or shine.

Toilet & shower blocks clean on previous years.

I appreciate that your son is only one, however it's not like other shows.

Was hoping to get to this as well with 'Hank' & family but have just found out the dates clash with 'Eastbourne Speed Days' at Beechy Head and my two eldest lads want to enter the gravity bike comp so it looks like I'll be heading south that weekend instead

Ok, we are live!

I am now taking bookings for Early Bay Club Camping at Vanfest.

We are in the process of being processed as an affiliate club of the Assoc. of British VW Clubs. This will fulfill our requirement as far as club public liability insurance is concerned, and this will cost (total) £29.00.

To cover this fee, and also the Paypal fees and the ticket postage I estimate (thats all I can do at this time) that I will need to add £2.00 to each adult ticket price, so the cost is £32.00 per adult. I am taking bookings straight away and will close the books at the end of June 08.
Payment should be made via Paypal to [email protected]. You dont need a Paypal account to do this, you can make a one-off payment with a debit/credit card from the Paypal site.

Im not able/willing to police attendees but I request that people remember the spirit of the event and therefore book with attendance in a Volkswagen Transporter van as priority.

Thank you please.

clems co-ordinating EB club camping
