Vin plate reference

Hi guys what info on my vehicle can i get from the vin? Cheaply or free? Can i determine the age, the van iv got coming over was told to me that it was a 71, but iv just realised shes wide 5?? i do have the us plate no. If that helps? Cheers aaron

Chassis no. can tell you the model year.

may be a 71 model year as that's what's on the US title doc not build year. mines a 71 model year but was built Sept 70

if you have a pic of the vin plate you can go to the place in mine/sparkys sig and it will decode it

Ahh done a bit of googleing my vin starts
:220211 so my van is actually a 1970?

Changeover year i believe.
Early 71's were. (Probably built in 70).

You need to decode the m plate for all the info on the van, behind the drivers seat

So as its stock and is running wide 5 it will be drum front and rear? And also king and link beam? Would that be correct? Cheers

If it's wide 5 it'll have drum brakes front and rear and be fitted with a balljoint beam, king and linkpin beams were only fitted to split screen buses.
