Westphalia question?!

hiya, I have '71 westphalia and I'm curious what the rubber strap / tie thing is behind the front passenger seat. What is it meant to hold? any ideas?

If white and attached near the window with a press stud its for the curtains.

i've got one as well....

its about halfway down the drivers seat bulk head, small rub length really random!

definetly not to do with curtain's

I've got one too,I found it yesterday when having a tidy up.Doesn't seem to do anything?

That's it I think it's tools or map holder maybe..... or its for holding small bits of road kill for a tasty snack

here's some pictures, I was curious about what it could be for... it's not the tool roll, as the owners manual shows it tied under the seat. (sorry I couldn't figure out how to place pic inside this box)

Thought you may be interested in these links (to the s**ba). No definitive answer I'm afraid but lots discussion. Looks likely to be a map holder or somewhere to hold the service records / handbook.
