I've got no luck! Stripping a wire today to put a new connector on behind the dash and I gave it a bit too much beef , slipped and chipped the inside of my windscreen with the wire strippers!! I'm not happy!

Can these windscreens be repaired?

I assume that it can be done just like a normal windscreen chip repair

That's what I was hoping but wasn't sure with these old screens, also wasn't sure on inside repairs?

Mate, it didn't surprise me that it happened , with my luck I was surprised I didn't cause the van to flip over trapping me inside and burst into flames!! :|

Tell me about it! I seem to attempt to fix / replace 1 thing and create/find two other issues!

Should of bought a T5! :msn4:

The AA chap that did my last screen said if it's over 10 mm or round edges he can't do it. Pretty sure it's only for laminated screens not the old types :?

A load of bays had laminated windscreens... I've broken enough of 'em. If it's chipped then it's probably laminated, toughened ones tend to shatter. Can't see any particular reason why it can't be repaired, but you might need to take the dash out for access? depending on the location of the chip.
