I am sorry if this is covered already.
Was wondering what bits you lot would want reproduced that you find it hard to find cheap on the market or cant find at all?
Also, to what extent can you actually contribute to make any such reproductions possible? for instance, do you have an original part that you could lend to be studied/reproduced (and obviously returned)?

Lets hear it so that we can look into possibility of reproduction of some bits on your lists as there are many of us with different backgrounds who could possibly help with such venture?

Cheers

The upright section of the rear 1/4 light window frame.

thats a good start marco
yes me too can't find the upright frame for the rear quarter lights from any of the usual suppliers.
perhaps someone else would know if they have seen repro ones being available somewhere?

the bottom 2/3 inches of the A post had build both of mine from scratch turned out really well but would have bee easier and quicker

Schofields sell these. I made mine as well and the I saw them, must have been new as I'm sure they weren't available when I was looking! Nice fit as well, come in 3 bits iirc.

The amount of wanted adverts for rear bumpers must make them a contender, and rear corners that go half way up the tail light.

Earlybay front panel got to be up there!
Good quality front wheel arches!
And a magic wand
Geordie

68 brake fluid reservoir. I looked into this a bit but didn't get very far. I've been lucky enough to source a NOS one that isn't yet fitted and could be made available for reproductions if it can be guaranteed to not get damaged! Oh and I want to fit it soon so it would have to be fairly rapid

You can probably add any of the one year only parts as well, 68 wiper arms would be nice (again I have a NOS as yet unfitted set).

I *think* I can get the reservoir reproduced rather rapidly.
but let me check how quickly can that be.
can you share detailed of pics the 68 reservoir with a scale next to it? if you can, it will be great help to ascertain whether it could be done and how soon and how good.

cheers

Does anyone on this forum own or have access to a 3D printer??? :D

Funny you should say that, before I found this one I did look into buying a 3D printer to make one but I couldn't find a suitable plastic to use

thats the real issue right there, to find the suitable plastic!

to consolidate the contending list, we now have;

1. The upright section of the rear 1/4 light window frame. (marco)
2. The amount of wanted adverts for rear bumpers must make them a contender, and rear corners that go half way up the tail light. (dames)
3. 68 brake fluid reservoir (67westy)
4. Steering column top bearing (*Sam*)

I think the upright section for rear quarterlight is ought to be there because if the front & rear quarterlight frames can be available in repro then why not the rear upright ones?
68 only brake fluid reservoir is fairly easy too but wonder why haven't someone tried reproducing these, perhaps niche market size?
Steering Column Bearing, hmmm, wasn't this available some time ago? i cant really remember from whom but i *think* someone did these?

PS: I only have taken into account the parts which have no reproduction attempt yet made.
PPS: thanks for the detailed pics 67westy, top man!

Very rear "E" post lowers - at the very rear of the van where the ladder chassis meets the rear corners.

Also thermostat linkage bars and flaps maybe?

Also- if anybody needs technical drawings making up for parts, let me know ;-)

The only replacement bearing available for EarlyBay steering columns is a bronze bush from bluebird customs, it's ok but would be better if the correct item was available.
