Nice - from what I've read, I'm getting almost the same from Laurie as you've got ... And I think he's starting to build it now you have yours!

Looks good, be sure to tell us how I goes when you get on the road 8)

Hadders, it has bags of torque, I will need a freeway flyer or my box modifying next winter as if feels under geared now. I am running 36 dells as I want pulling power, not high revs. Is Laurie just building the long block for you? I spent two days with him helping build up the engine and instal it, was a lot of fun.

Running sweet now, just got to get the megajolt sorted, need to remake the trigger wheel.

Yep, just the long block - he's not exactly on the doorstep, so he's recommended someone more local to build the rest of it up. I'll have to see how he feels about having someone moping around the workshop for a day or two :msn4:

I want the same as you, ie torque not outright power, so this will no doubt end up needing gearing change

Lobie, lovely van, I'll keep my eyes out for you this summer

Had a look at the Vintage speed exhausts at the Volksworld show they look awesome...shame they didn't have an early bay one to look at. Yours looks sweet , match's your bus ;-)

Nice.....

Did the four hour trip to Pete at Space roofs to have a new Westy type roof put on instead of the leaky Devon.

Next time we see the bus the whole family should be able to sleep in it :D

Spent nearly all day trying to get a sheared off bolt out of my rear hub carrier but failed
£20 worth of broken drill bits later and nothing to show for it

The bloody stubborn bolt

The side that sheared off

It's off but not without braking copper brake line and having to grind off a bolt on the cv boot :?

Wrapped up until I get it sorted

After hours of heating it up drilling the life out of it and it still won't budge

Mark I feel your pain  we've all been there at some point

Put a nut on the end and turn the mig up and fill the hole up with weld

One inch of weld will hold a ton !

Good luck fella and keep at it ;)
