I am looking for a table to go in my Van. It's got a full width rock and roll bed and that's about it. It's a tin top walk through. I was thinking of an island style but then I need to put the top somewhere ( haven't got round to a overhead locker yet) or possibly a fold up type? I am just looking for some pros and cons really and what works best. I just want stick my beer on it and also have a bit of dinner:) cheers

The Westfalia folding style mounted on pole (Kustom Interiors do a modern version) is OK AS LONG AS you remember not to lean on it. The adjuster knobs are quite small hence tightening them enough is a challenge. What about a fold out from the wall style like the old splitty interiors if you don't have much furniture?

Thanks for the relply Steve, the fold out version sounds like a good idea, I will have a look and see how they are built. If anyone has any photos or info on installation I would be greatful.

I've got a Dormobile where the table slides into a rail for the rear bench and the buddy seat, it's good for the conversion. I pulled the Devon interior out of my last bus and had a bespoke one done by Reimo with a table (some people use a skimboard) that sat in a recessed aperture in the floor held up by a single stainless leg, similar to a Moonraker (Google it) that you could spin round to walk around, it also had a fold out worktop on the side of the hob/sink until which was useful.
