Hi all

I am trying to get new tyres fitted but due to the change in tyre manufacturing (tyres now have sidewall protectors) i can't get any to fit under the rear arches.

I have been told my wheel offset may be the problem.

Does anyone on here know what this offset means? And are my wheels the problem?

Please help.

The larger the et number the further tucked in the outer rim of the wheel will be, the standard 14" EB steel is in around ET48. I'm running Amercan Eagles with a poor offset at ET13 but I still don't get any probs on the rear. I can't see the number on your wheel on my iPhone

So if it is a 6 or a 9 basically the offset is not really enough.

This would explain why i struggle to get tyres under the arches.

Yup that's right mate, you could of course tweak the arch by pulling out a touch
