Where's my bus been ??

Got my logbook it says it was registered 1989, but being born in 71 what's he been doing before 89??
Sorry for sounding like a div
But is there a place I can find out his history, I've checked his m code and he was born may 71 English bus destination Ramsgate, other than that little is known until 89 ??

could have been used off road on a private estate until that date, there is a form V888 from dvla which may help - it gives you a list of all previous owners and costs £5
