Which cam would be best suited for my 1641, Dell 36s, ratio rockers, currently running a standard 'box with a view to change to a longer legged one in the future. The van is used to carry camping gear with a combination of local roads and motorway miles. Not fussed about performance too much, just wanting more puff on hills and when pulling out of junctions/slip roads. I'm hoping to take advantage of VW heritage's December discount and buy the kit (cam, gear etc) and am considering one of the Scat kits as they are cheaper.....or should I just stick with the standard cam? Cheers. (And no, I'm not trading up to a 1776!).

either the C35:

or the C25:

What ratio are your rockers? Could make a difference to your choice, as some cams are designed to work better with 1.4:1 or 1.25:1 rockers.

Go with a short duration for torque over top end power, such as Engle 100, Scat C25 etc. I went with Engle FK41 and 1.4 rockers.
