Windscreen wiper blades falling out.

I've fitted chrome wiper arms and blades. The blade holders have a pivoting plastic moulding that slides into the U-bend at the end of the arm but there's nothing that I can see to keep them from sliding out again, so the whole thing, wiper and holder, falls off after a while. The previous black ones did exactly the same thing. They seem to need some sort of retaining clip but I can't find one in any supplier catalogues.

I'll try Custom and Commercial for their advice but has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

you should have a slot in the wiper arm and a lug on the plastic fitting to lock in .

I bought chrome wiper arms and blades from Custom & Commercial and had the same problem with the blades falling off.

I solved it by just adding a layer or two of black electrical tape on the plastic fitting, so it fills out the U bend.
