Very sorry, http://www.flat4dubs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, but is this any use to you anyway???

 Thanks Lee curious to know who you got me mixed up with  Thanks for the link not really the parts i was looking for but i have managed to get the top locker this morning and table minus the legs.

Deffo confused noo like :?
Is this the Devon that was originally owned by the lad from Sunderland??
Who took out the original interior then replaced it with an L shaped seat layout!?
Or is there another blue J reg one the same on here?? :?
Or have I dreamt the whole thing???

I originally thought I had the Makem lad mixed up with a fella called John from Gateshead, but now I'm sure I have them mixed up but I'm also starting to think I have you mixed up too, or at least your van?
Unless you have the wrong van for the right person sort of thing!?!? :?

Understand??

Or is there another blue J reg one the same on here?? :? I think what may be confusing is that when the PO put the for sale ad up he was told it was the wrong year so he got it re registered so it went from a L to a J

Or have I dreamt the whole thing???Hope not

So i bought it from a lad on here his user name is diesel2000 in Sunderland and he took the interior out. It must be the van you know i would post the original for sale ad but i cant work out how to post the link

Woz

& this is the one I THOUGHT was originally out your bus!!

Had a weekend on the van so made some progress. Although first job was to sew the cover back together, three of the anchor points on the straps had been pulled out by the wind. Guess i will be redoing it in the summer because i only had normal thread and i think i'm going to need thread that doesn't rot.

Finished welding in some of the floor plates that i had originally tacked and then got some more tacked in ready for next weekend.

Started working on the swing out cooker, cleaned up a door and hinges and then using various grades of wet & dry polished the scratches out of the handle. It seemed a good idea at the time but now i need to get the whole unit to that standard. Started cleaning the trim around the cooker lid.

I have been concentrating on finishing the drivers side repairs and am nearly there with them now. Also got the main bulk of the floor done as well.

Time to start on the other side. This is exactly as it was when i removed the belly pans, now you have to ask your self, who done this. Seriously no need at all.

12729509975_0e910edda1_c.jpg

Must of been the same person that done this

12729564425_58fbee6a0c_c.jpg

Anyway enough moaning, started cutting it all out.

Been having a few problems with the welder, turns out the sip migmate has a plastic liner, problem is it pinches the wire. Spoke to a guy that told me you can replace it with a steel snap on one. Put it in and the difference is outstanding.

12730122235_ebff5b8806_c.jpg

Thought it may be useful to post this for anyone that reads this in the future that has a lot of welding in front of them.

If you have a small hobby welder and are using bottles like this

12729997635_2de47a8581_c.jpg

Then this may be useful, the first observation is that the cylinders have different amounts in but the price does not reflect this. have a look at this you will see one has 110L and the other has 60L

12730180713_0255b4be09_c.jpg

Better still use a larger bottle. Google Hobbyweld they distribute bottles through local welding suppliers. you pay approx £60 for the bottle and then approx £45 to refill (i'm told it holds x23 times the small cylinders) you own the bottle so if you ever take it back then you get most of your £60 back. they also delivered mine for no extra charge. This is what it looks like.

12730003433_8482db8a8c_c.jpg

Then bin this regulator

12730346454_b47d3a8bcc_c.jpg

And buy one like this, think it cost about £45, you can see how it connects to the small tube that currently allows you to attach gas. Being able to have control over your gas makes a big difference to your weld and the amount you use. The gauge on the left shows bottle pressure and the one on the right shows flow rate.

12729929965_b3000626d8_c.jpg

This only really applies to hobby style welders and if you can get your hands on a BOC bottle then all the better, but thought i would post this as its quick and easy to do.

Cut the worst out of the passenger side chasis and welded new metal in

Making some good progress now and because i have done the other side i'm a lot quicker doing this side removed the inner sill

Nice weld on the old sill
