Why didn't I buy my bus years ago !?

Spent the last two evenings refurbishing my steering wheel. :msn4:
Started with this..
[photobucket] [/photobucket]
Fairly mangled up!

Then used "milliput" to to fill the holes ( great stuff for £3 )

Then sanded and primed..

3 coats of matt black and 2 coats off clear lacquer later..

Then sewed on the leather cover I got for Christmas ( 2 hours of cursing  ) and here it is.

Wow, fantastic job ....wanna do mine lol :)
Where did you get the cover from too ?

got the milliput and the leather cover off ebay, about 25 quid for both.

Easy job really, 2 evenings work, quite chuffed with how it came out.

Top job, do you know name of cover as it looks smart

Yep, mr steering.
Theres a fitting guide on youtube by him too, in which its made to look like a ten minute job.It isnt.
Took me two hours with the wheel off

No pictures yet as I haven't started but I will be making some door cards, refurbing a cooker unit and playing with a Morris 1000 8)

Squirt72, silly question but can I ask was it just standard matt black spray and lacquer (B&Q type of stuff) that you used?

Looks great btw.
