    Which exhaust?

Had a vintage speed on my split for 2 years now (1776 with 34ict's)...absolutely excellent exhaust...good sound but quiet and fantastic build quality

    Fitting a Empi gear stick

That's missing the spacer...if you get a kind bay owner to measure theirs you should be able to get one bent in 2-3mm steel (mines on a split so can't tell you how high sorry)

Roof rack on a full length pop top

If you are interested in the build thread..... http://vwsplitty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rides&action=display&thread=1905" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and yep it's a vintage speed exhaust..been running it for about a year now and have been impressed, stock looks , not...

Roof rack on a full length pop top

Buy an old trailer and restore it like I did...way cooler (and easier on your back getting things on the roof)

    1776 engine build quieries.

Froggy, you could use a scat C25 kit instead of the engle. I have just had my 1600 rebuilt to a 1776 with full flow, 69mm counterweighted crankshaft, C25 kit, minimal cylinderhead work and I run 34ict's (which I will have rejetted and tweaked on the rolling road)..I am running a stock cooler as...

One owner Unrestored 71 deluxe So Cal Microbus

I've only just spotted this thread too and all I can say is OMG  ...get that underside dinitroled asap...great that you are keeping it stock....I dread to think what you had to pay for it (and that's coming from a split owner  ) but it was well worth it for such a unique bus..well done

Some one has to get this

Have you seen the price of the samba on the same page.....blimey if I had the money...a bargin

After all that I'm not enjoying driving her :?

A few things you can do that will improve your driving experience....buy an empi bus shifter, this will help the gear changes no end...a servo (if the bus hasn't got one ) will help immensely...how is the van lowered? If on adjusters it will be harsh...consider dropped spindles...consider a red...

    Wanted: Early Bay Drum spindles

Just a quick heads up for everybody..Simon at red9 will no longer machine bay drum spindles to fit his wishbone suspension kit as he feels it is a compromise as you cannot get full lock so it's later spindles only... P.S: Anybody want to buy some CSP wide 5 front discs

    Wanted: Early Bay Drum spindles

Yep they have to be machined but I already have some CSP wide 5 disk brakes that I want to use, Simon will machine them for a cost... Your price seems fair so I'll take them...are you going to Dubfreeze? Which would save postage

who makes the best linkages for twin ICT's?

I am using a CSP bell crank linkage...couldn't get the empi one supplied by eurocarb to work well enough for me... (the guy who tuned the carbs for me recommended that I should scrap it as it was cheap chineese cr*p (his words))

    Khyam....no longer

I hope they haven't as they are the best awnings on the market...if so I'm sure someone will buy them out as the product is so good.

Split and Early Bay Accelerator Pedal Differences

Hi Early Bay...I'm a lurker from the SSVC forum....usually watch the forum to see the progress of buses with Red 9 Wishbone setup as we are a bit slow on the uptake with splits (although a few more seem to be getting them)...anyway I digress... I would like to know the difference between split...
