Cheers Darius, I haven't measured it yet but I would throw a guess at about 2" which is far less than I had hoped but my guage only reads to 100 PSI so hopefully will be a reasonable increase once using the full 200PSI.
I'm sure you know what's in my amazon basket as we speak waiting for me to grow a pair and hit buy!

How's yours coming along, will you be at Stanford Hall ?

I have just ordered the below as my current gauge only reads to 100psi.
I was very tempted to get some gabrials for the rear and a twin needle set up etc but I need to recoup some cash so will look to upgrade in the winter with a tank etc.

Yes that other gauge is good.
I am still waiting for a few parts for the rack conversion but I had a go on the lathe Friday and made some adaptors for the rear shox and welded them on. I need more hose before I fit.

I have a wedding the same weekend as Stanford hall.

That's reminded me I was supposed to give you one of the adaptors for the Gabriel's. Doh.
Funny you say about a wedding on that weekend, another of my VW mates has wedding on that day.
What's your next show

I have measured the lift I am achieving at just over 100 PSI and it a very surprising 8cm !
Will be interesting to see what I archive with 200PSI

New 200PSI gauge arrives today and yesterday I collected new rear wheel bearings.
Gonna be busy before Stanford.

Well with the new gauge fitted and 200 Psi in the Gabriel's I am achieving 10cm of lift !

When I was messing around with the rear ride height I noticed there was excessive play in the rear wheel bearings so I stripped the hubs cleaned painted and replaced the bearings and seals.

Really cool bus. Split wheels really work. Do you mind telling me from where you bought the Gabriel airshocks, can't find them any where? Thanks

Hi thanks yes I like the wheels, I loved my sprints but they just fell apart.
I got my shocks from Amazon.com (USA)

That stance is great imo.
like a bit of 'Rake' 8)

Hows it ride?

Cheers mate. I don't drive it with that ride height, this picture was taken with about 10PSI in the front.
At present I drive at 100PSI but i am still experimenting.
The ride is good with the air shocks, if you drove it with that much rake is would dive in to corners and drive like a sack of spuds and the beam is about 1" from the floor, i am hoping to put a role bar back on it but will need a custom made one.

If you go down the lowering route i would suggest Air shocks as a good, reasonably priced way of damping the suspension.
I am hoping that i will fit Air shocks to the rear this winter but we will see how things go.

Sam
