5 rib gear box

i have a 3 rib gear box in my camper ,and a 5 rib in my single cab pickup whats the difference or is there any?

are you sure its not 6 rib?, 6 rib 091 boxes were mated to 2L lumps, higher ratios so better cruising speeds without over revving on the M way i think.

5 rib came about 73 to 75 I have a link somewhere, cant remember the ratios but there was a slight change from the 3 rib.

I think that 1st was changed up down ?

not sure if the final drive in 4th is any different
