forgot to ask, where did you get the front lights for your van??? love em

baj

They came from Machine7 and were half price at £29.99 I think, due to being misted up. Quick clean with soapy water sorted it and they are perfect now :D

There was a thread on here that put me on to them. Gonna check if they have any left as I will need some more soon.

Looks like a really cool van, but then again I would say that as its like my busses twin brother! 8)

mine was white over chianti red back in the day, nothing finer than faded og paint

I love your Bus Rich, I followed Ted's thread as he was waving his magic slam stick over it. Mine is in need of similar treatment, but I shall have to wait for funding!
I plan to get out alot this year, so maybe we'll run into each other at a couple of shows. :)

Hi yeah kept the thread going once I bought it off Ted as he had done some amazing chassis and suspension work on the bus, I'm just doing the bits of welding it needs then it's having a full re-trim I'm hoping to get to Stanford hall :)

Not much goin on at the mo. Got out to the Feb ADK meet and my eldest boy took some shots of the Bus.

He's fond of rust! Plenty of material on this Bus!
Next job, got to drop the motor and replace the crankshaft oil seal amongst other things.

Right, I may have to start a new thread as I've done gone and bought another Chianti Patina '71 Deluxe :D (thesamaba ban is looming!)
Check it out!

Leep, you are so right, I am solid gone on this paint finish :D

Bloomin eck! That's nice :D
What's your plan? You keeping both of them

Peronally I'd keep your van that's already here and keep at it to get it lowered etc, yours has more patina too 8) but I suppose it depends on how solid this new one is etc etc cos you can always slam the new one! Cool looking bus anyway dude

You're right Rich, my bus needs a proper slammin and the new one needs a tickle with the slam stick too! I am on the look out for the best deal. There are a fair few slam companies that offer good set ups.
Anyhow, I stripped the motor down as the dynamo packed up last week and I have to fit a different fan housing, as the one I have will foul on my LHS Dellorto.

I will get the dyno repaired locally and then put it all back togther.

Has anyone got any photo's of a twin Dell set up, cos I haven't done this before and would like to see others for reference?

Thanks mate, appreciate that. 8)
Yes you did see me in the Boro at the weekend. I need no excuse at all to go for a cruise. I love it, even with the shonky steering :D :D :D
I got some pics of mine ready to go on. I will take some more of the install when I eventually get on with it.
Just need some blanking plates for the exhaust, swap the fan housing and fix the dyno and were on!

Kind words John,
shame I missed you at Volks World, I would have loved a photo of the buses together :D
Come to think of it so would Greg the PO. He loves your bus too and I promised him I get a shot of them together.

I managed to swap the fan shroud and fit the left hand carb, bit of a ball acher, but got there in the end.

I will be dropping the motor to fit the other side as getting a spanner on the rear nut is impossible :?

Here's me carbs ready to go! Hopefully they will Transform my Bus
I know, I shouldn't laugh at my own jokes, but if I don't no one will

I took one of the roof from my boys bedroom window :D
I like it alot 8)

This is how I got the Dynamo nut off. Plenty of jizum and a sharp tap with a rubber mallet sorted it pretty quickly :)

More to follow tomorrow, hopefully.

I don't get your joke.....

I mean, you've got a picture of your carbs and in the middle is a Transf.... AH

Carbs looks nice - what size are they and what jet's you going for??
