well i went and got my mates welder as mine packed up so i could carry on ...
first job i was going to make 2 small plates to pull the rear arches and lower rear corners together...i thought wrong :|

had a little poke to reveal some "nice metal" and ...

the seam was the worst bit so that was first to go...

new piece welded in and mostly ground back...

the bottom does line up ok now need to bring the arch down slightly but iam happy

started on the arch it had come away where the someone had welded before so i ground it all back to get going, started welding the whole way along

just a little bit go now so happy days...then the other side ...oo and a skim of filler...then paint ....um yeh quite abit :lol:
 
lol i do love the bumper ... thats wierd a few mates of mine have seen it and all said the same thing.i even went round my mates house and they were all on at me to leave it... :roll:

just not 100% ...
 
i thought you meant the bus dude, sorry the bumper colour and patina is staying ;) ..take a hammer and sandpaper to yours :lol:
 
i'm really toying with the idea of taking sand paper to all of my van ..... well all the corners ..... but also unsure.

atleast leave painting your bus till last. Do a session as is then decide if you want to paint it, its like life lines, it up to you if you think it needs botox :mrgreen:
 
:lol: lifelines i like it, well iam just going to prime the bits that need priming as i do them then just mot ot and see iam not a huge van of having a perfect van but at the same time obviously like them.i think your van is sweet dude it does look the ummm ...furry gonads, but a little bit of rubbed down edges does sound like a plan .... :msn4:
