I'll be using these Val, they're really good and you can remove the sticky mark that's left with white spirit if you change your mind. Mines going on my dash so wouldn't want to use glue and permanently mark it.

Even took the double sided tape off the original VW and glued that on as well (superglue gel )

Before Doris was restored...my tailgate script was super glued on for years.also when I pulled it off,it didn't damage the paint,so I'd be happy to use super glue again.hth
