Just noticed that JK do a rear bumper for a 68-72 bus, yet no-one else seems to sell them

my og rear bumper has seen better days so don't mind buying a repro one providing of course that it will look right....by the time the og bumper is repaired the labour costs will be more than a JK one at £68 anyways....

anyone bought one, are they any good?

piccies would be great if possible!

Thanks , carole

ive got one hanging up in the garage waiting to go on mine, your welcome to pop by and have a look.
the mounts are a little different as they mount to a flat plate rather than the bumper and the ends are slash cut like a split rather than diamond cut like an early bay.

mine should be hear tomoro so i hope there ok :D cant be worse than whats hanging of the back end of mine.il post some pics up when it arives

mmmmm.......food for thought there, thanks guys!

be interested to see the piccies when you can post them thanks.

i got one

it's cool, had it 5 years, no probs, though it won't fit directly onto your og bumper mounts, need slight mods, not sure what as I had someone else sort it, but not an expensive/difficult job

the diff from og is that the ends are slash cut, like splits, not diamond cut like bays, but i prefer slash cut as it matches the line of the real wheel wells

I know you can get fibreglass ones which look like the originals -any thoughts :?:

Looked at those - they look good! Mind you, I'd rather have solid metal bumpers incase you get a little knock - I don't think those fibreglass bumbers look very strong!
Given the choice I'd go for NOS or good second hand OG!

;)

Heard the fibreglass ones can take a good shove before they give, but I do
know what you mean.

just a 1641 with 34icts.if only it was that simple tho.that engine stans me at over £1000,origanaly i was just puting a top end rebuilt kit on it then the studs pulled out the case, they were allready taped out to 12mm so i had to get a new case and main bairings,i changed from single port to twin so all the tin was wrong then i found out i needed a difernt cooler  it goes on and on.so literely all thats left from the old engine is the crank and fly wheel  moral of the story buy a new engine

thanxs bud.sorry to hijack the thread but what you all think to the colour, only the engine bay is painted im sat hear trying to piture it all in that colour with a slightly green white top,but im not sure if to go green up to the gutter or to the waist line

thats a real nice colour, me and the missus were just admiring it!
i think go to the gutter and white roof

im glad uve said that :D cos thats what i fanced, but alot of people keep talking me out of it .
