Just wondered whether anyone has any good suggestions for camping somewhere on New Year's Eve, we were heading to Ireland for most of next week but the weather and work has put pay to that so looking for something local (ish)

i'm off to lower lacon in wem for 3 nights from n.y.e the last camp of 2013 and 1st of 2014. They have a party on or just camping, i go there a couple of times a year.

Would be up for this if it were fairly local and well cheap. Many years ago a crowd of us young bikers took bikes and vans to a pub in the sticks out the back of Matlock Bath for NYE. Brilliant time had, not many locals so the landlord loved us drinking/spending, made his night apparently! No facilities in the pub field but we had a massive fire, loads of beer and a bloody good time. I somehow ended up with an airbed/sleeping bag in the back of Chris' Escort van so was relatively warm and comfy, no idea where he ended up. Ah, happy days...... :D
Weather forecast not looking too good, but still like the idea if anyone has a plan?

i got wet.....
