As above,i entered last year for this years ride but now the wife is pressing me for dates to go camping around the 1-2 week of August.
If i remember correctly i paid the fee and ticked the box to donate if i do not get in :(

Has anybody heard or do you know when they will release more information?

Have also expressed London to Brighton ride in June i think it is but that goes on general release/entry on 17th of this month?

Regards.

Did the L2B ride last year and won't bother again. Very disappointed. Spent more time walking than cycling. OK for a social event and of course a great cause, but not a great cycle event anymore.

Yes website says early February for notification on Ride London

You can see online now if you have a place. I didn't get one :(
Now to decide if I do it as a charity ride again ... last year I thought I definitely would, not sure now :?

Hi Mike.

I've just been on their website but call me thick,i can not see a link to find out i got in.

I did have an email last week saying the ballot results will be out early Feb'.

Guess who didn't get in :( :(

Oh well, guess there is always next year.

The world is your oyster, plenty of sportives going on all the time all over the uk. Just check cycling press/websites. Or just go as far as you like, wherever you like, whenever you want. Doesn't need to be an event.

This :)

I do a couple of local sportives as they are cheap and cheerful and do one 'big' one a year. As I'm out of RLS, I've signed up for the Cvndsh one from Chester. Otherwise it's nice to ride from and to you're house and enjoy a 'free*' hobby I reckon.

*expensive

WHS , I do at least 70 miles (more like 150 in the summer) most weeks during evenings and weekends. Also use the bike for going to work, shopping, socialising. If I can use a bike instead of the car, I always take the bike. The miles soon rack up. Strava's great to keep track of things.
