Is it worth it ???

I have had a 1300 AM code gearbox sat in my garage for about 3 years , but i am no mechanic ,

How much work is it to get one in . Who has done it etc etc

So i am wondering if the Bug box will be a worthwhile improvement on my stock one or if i should sell it on

Thoughts , Pros Cons ???

I have a 1600 Single Port totally stock Rear tyres are 185 / 65 / 15"

Definitely mate, its what all the Euro boys use and gives much better cruising at lower revs. with better ratios than the AS/AT when used with a stock engine.

If you dont want it I'll buy it :)

Graham, I have been pondering this one myself, you say it's sweet for a stock lump, would it float as well with a 1641 ?
I have a cross-over with a late box at the mo.

Cheers ears.

Top man. Am I right in thinking that it is not a straight swap over and that you supply everything a fellow would need ? Chance of a plug here, so, if I am right, a price for said kit would be good for myself and others of a like mind.
Cheers ears

Lol, yes we do we offer a beetle gearbox conversion kit for an earlybay at £325 (late kit is £380) which includes all the elements you need to fit it.

Better then a 6 rib 2.0l box Mr G????

Grazy it will be an improvement, I can it fit and make it work, told you that already

Get some bug inner cv's from GSF and I'll make a mount. You should know better than anyone I can get most things to work ;)
