Having a clear out and fund raiser, dragged that 1300 Beetle engine out and stripped it down. Found I have enough stuff to rebuild it , bearings, 1679 P&Bs ,110 cam, new rear seal and push rod tubes and gaskets. 1600 twin port heads , vac or 009 dist and either 31 carb or twin Webber 36IDF carbs. Only bit I am short of is a crank pully.

Back on it after Crimbo as need to get it done, also have to finish the panel. Entered my hot rod I am building in a show at the 3 Counties in April and not going to be finished but have to get as much done as I can.
You ain’t having a lot of luck with it lately bud. I’m home with the same Chrimbo lurgey as you possibly had. My ribs are aching from coughing and my tum muscles think Mr Tyson has been working out on them. This is getting to be a regular Chrimbo event for me.

In case it’s any help to anyone coughing and spluttering until your ribs try and break free from your chest 
Gargling with Listerine all around the back of your throat two or three times a day , well that almost knocks out the coughing, not completely but ninety five percent of it. Gets you through the night too. Or, it might just help me.

Similar indeed. I’m feeling ok now and the cough is just about gone. Just feeling very achy breaky and mired in tired that’s for sure. Can do with a bit of help to get me into second gear as I’m just trundling about closing in on auto pilot right now.
