Hello to you all.
I need to buy both rear corners to finish my 68 bus restoration. It's second time I'm doing this in 5 years  .
The job done the first time was a gift by my father-in-law (bad choice I guess  ) ... He used some kind of "old school" metods... not the best if you want something done for several years.
The end result was that after 4/5 years all the areas he "fixed" started to get some rust again.
So, now I doing what I should have done in the first place: get a real professional to do the job. After a couple of months he's almost done but two more replacement body panels are needed: both rear corners (seen on this picture painted red - at least, one side is  )

So, my question to you is: can someone give me a feedback about these replacemente panels that are sold in the UK market through all the online stores? I would like (if possible) to get a better quality panels.

Here are some pictures where you can see all the work done earlier (I guess he melted some metal over the rotten areas.... :| )

any help on this subject will be welcome!
Thank you in advance.
Regards from Portugal!

The panels are much of a muchness, The best would be some cuts of a rust free van, but can be pricey or NOS of course, but uber difficult to find.

I like Alan Schofields stuff personally. Anyway as a matter of fact I have 2 rear corner panels that you need, sitting in my office that I never used in the end for my 1970 bus. So give me a shout if you want them. (Bargain price to an earlybayer ;) )

Hello easy.. thank you for your reply.
Please send me some pictures from the ones you have and price plus shipping cost to Lisbon, Portugal.
I'm looking for some good repair panels... with better quality than these exterior parts I've bought a few months ago from Hoffmann Speedster (but they are the same from justkampers and vwheritage).

The sheet metal plate is has thin has a can of soda and the finishes are really bad.
These parts are so bad that we've decided not to use them and make our own replacemente parts. It cost us a lot more time and money but at least we ended up with something we can rely on...

I would ask him to do the same but the rear corners are not that "easy" to duplicate without proper machinery....

thanks!
just need those rear corners to end this .... but I really don't want that brazilian crap.
Still looking for any other solution if possible.
:?

Thanks Matt_B ....
but £350?...

I'm looking for better replacement panels but those ones are too expensive for me :|
I've sent an email to Alan Schofield and now I'm waiting for a reply!
