Hey guys,

Armed with my Haynes manual, and some memories of my old Mini, I'm looking for a very quick list of things to run through to diagnose why my camper is bogging under load to the point it cuts out at the slightest incline.

Engine has around 500 miles on it, and a set of twin Webers.

Few things I know could cause it:

- timing
- points gapping
- fuelling? (solid state pump in there currently)

Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

But check fuel pressure and flow first, could be a blocked filter or line[emoji6]

Cheers Abel! Filter looks pretty clean, but will def check pressure. Am I right in thinking it should be around 3psi?

So after having a quick look today, this has a single timing mark which from another post, I can see is TDC. From what I also read, 11.5mm to the right is my 7.5°, with a max advance of 30° which is 46mm to the right of TDC (on a 175mm pulley). But what I can't find, is where those are to be marked against. Descriptions of the post said to time in relation to the crank case join, is that correct?

Any annotations would be muchly appreciated!
