Hi all.

Sliding door has a slight bow along the bottom of the door, the centre of the bow is toward the van, then the end kicks out a bit. When i shut the door and lift handle up, it pulls the bottom inward but not 100% perfect. its a 67 lhd.

Then the engine lid is really bowed the same so the middle is inward and the ends are outward, along the lower edge. Do you recon they are fixable and is there any ideas of a DIY method as opposed to bodyshop solutions? All panels are OG with og paint and i don't want to damage or replace anything at all.

Any help or suggestions welcome.

Cheers

As above, use cloth between the wood and the paint. Rather than hitting it, use pressure to bend it. You will need to over bend by trial and error so it springs back to the desired shape.

The paint will cope with such a mild bending but if in doubt, warming the piece up so its hot like on a summers day will make the paint more flexible.
