Snapped my key yesterday so need to get a replacement. I don't know the code but luckily have a good spare. Anyone know if I can just walk into "Halfords" and they'll have the blanks to trace a new one onto or is it a obsolete part?

Don't use halrauds. Just go to any old school keycutter/cobbler and they can do it for you easily from the snapped one

If you get stuck having it copied - the code is printed on the sliding door lock barrel which is a doddle to remove!

Custom and commercial just cut me 3 of these from a master and built the cab locks to suit the keys, so definitely worth a shout if you get stuck.

Thanks CornishSilver.

When you say cut it from a master, do you mean you took your good original key in for them to use on the key cutter/tracer?

I like the idea of a VW logo'd key :)
