Few pics from Volksworld, some awesome cars but not very busy and not as many cars outside on display as usual. Where is everyone?

Lovely piccies.. but it looks dead..is that on a public day.
I tried to find the ticket prices on the door but couldn't find them??

Those pics were taken before it opened to the public, so only traders and people in clubs who sneaked in were about. [emoji6]

Cheers for the pics.
I've got the feeling the bubble has burst a little!

Hopefully it’s just temporary, otherwise some of these shows just won’t be viable anymore.

Since having the stroker motor and pushing out over 100 hp, the brakes were just not good enough anymore, especially as we camp out quite a lot and so are often loaded up with the kids and all the camping gear.
I looked at all the options available and the best reviews and spec was the kit from Fellows Speedshop. I went for the drilled and grooved discs as they look a bit better, doubt I’ll notice a performance difference over solid discs but they are proper brake ****.

The difference is astonishing, it brakes like a modern car now, really inspires confidence.

Very nice - look super impressive and glad they also do the job.
Have you had to do any changes to the rear?

Brakes look fantastic. [emoji41]

I can’t recall if you already have a servo fitted as well ?

I’m getting a bigger engine and have remote servo with OG drums I’m hoping they’re ok for now [emoji848]. The servo has made a massive difference though.

No changes to the rear, just best quality parts all adjusted and working properly, do the job fine.

Part of the attraction with the Fellows 4-pot kit is that you don't need a servo, a mate has the CSP kit on his split and has been underwhelmed with it since he fitted it, so is installing a servo on that this year, so when you weigh up the cost of the Fellows kit against the CSP with a servo on top there's not a great deal in it.

If the Fellows kit is as good as that then you’d probably save money compared to disc brakes and a servo.
I’ll see how I get on with my set up first.[emoji106]

It would be interesting to know the difference in total piston cross-sectional area between the Fellows Willwood callipers vs the CSP kit. I believe I’m right in saying that CSP is just a single piston on a floating calliper, whereas the Willwoods are a 4 pot. I would imagine that the 4 pot has more area so should give more force on the disc, but at the trade-off of increased pedal travel.

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the CSP since finding out that the callipers are just refurbished Vauxhall items from an 80s Astra IIRC.

Completely agree, the discs from Fellows are from a Porsche 944 with the 4-pots, rather than singles on an Astra disc. I think the money is largely in the hub in both kits, but for me it's worth paying more for the better performance.

Another Bank holiday, another weekend away. Spent 3 nights with some friends at Rother Valley Campsite just over the border in East Sussex, great site with a nice pub with beer garden just a 5 minute walk, and a very decent curry house just a 2 minute walk.
Took the pizza oven with me, made enough dough for 17 pizzas (there were 8 of us) the morning we left...
